I shall wear turquoise and soft gray sweatshirts... and a bandana over my silver hair.....and I shall spend my Social Security Checks on Sweet Wine and My Dogs.......and sit in my house on my well-worn chair and listen to my dog's breathing.
I will sneak out in the middle of a warm Summer night and take my dogs for a run, if my old bones will allow... and when people come to call, I will smile and nod as I show them my dogs...and talk of them and about them... The Ones so Beloved of the Past and the Ones so Beloved of Today.... I still will work hard cleaning after them and mopping and feeding them and whispering their names in a soft, loving way.. I will wear the gleaming sweat on my throat, like a jewel and I will be an embarrassment to all...and my family... who have not yet found the peace in being free to have dogs as your Best Friends.... These friends who always wait, at any hour, for you footfall...and eagerly jump to their feet out of a sound sleep, to greet you as if you are a God. With warm eyes full of adoring love and hope that you will stay and hug their big, strong necks...and kiss their dear sweet heads...and whisper to them of your love and the beautiful pleasure of their very special company....
I look in the Mirror...and see I am getting old.... this is the kind of woman I am...and have always been. Loving dogs is easy, they are part of me, accept me for who I am, my dogs appreciate my presence in their lives...when I am old this will be important to me...you will understand when you are old....& if you have dogs to love too.
Introduction
Hello, My name is SUNITHA SINGH and I, along with my husband, SUNIL KUMAR SINGH, and my THREE beautiful children, would like to take the opportunity to introduce you to my life’s passion…our Danes. I began my adventure into this wonderful breed in 2001 and have been hooked ever since. My Danes live in my home, sleep in my bed, and are as much a part of my family, as their human brother and sisters.
I am active in showing my Danes in the conformation ring and do show owner-handled, as well as use professional handler, SUNDEEP SINGH. I am also an active member of the ANDHRA PRADESH KENNEL CLUB OF INDIA WHICH AFFLIATED TO KENNEL CLUB OF INDIA
We are a small hobby kennel choosing only to breed very selectively, and when we feel it would be in the best interest of the breed. Health testing is done on our Danes before they are bred and when they reach the appropriate age. One of the important things that we strive for, along with conformation and color, is temperament. We feel it is very important to have a dog that not only is sound and correct in body, but also just as importantly has a wonderful temperament.
History

Europe is invaded by an Asian people who led molosse dogs like the Asian mastiffs .this dogs used for guarding and fighting .against enemies. When the rush of Alano people was over, some of these mastiffs ,remained in the north of Europe , in the Wurttemberg region -Germany.
They were also used for hunting . Although they were strong and powerful, they were neither fast nor agile.
In order to give those doges the elegance they lacked, the Asian mastiffs mated with the greyhounds such as the English greyhound and the big Irish greyhound The result was a powerful and very fast dog which was used for guarding and fighting as well as for hunting big animals such as bears and boars.
This way it was born….The Apollo of the dogs, the Great Alan. The Great Dane
The history of the Great Dane.
The Great Dane has been among us for centuries. These is divergence of opinion of its origin some people say that it came for denmark, what explains the name the breed has in some countries. Dane or Great Dance. Others say that is a German breed from the wurttemberg region. The” Federacao Cinologica internacional” prefers The latter hypothesis. The Great Dane, although used for hunting at first, was also breed to guard properties(guard dog).
It is a dog which has not changed its characteristics very much over time .what improved was its elegance, mainly the joint between the neck and the trunk which is now longer and nobler. Comparing the ancient Great Dane with the present one, we can notice that its incomparable vigour and majesty remained the same. It is known as ” Apollo of the Dogs”.
The breed was developed by the Europeans until the X1X century ,already presenting at that time the breeds characteristics shown now.
In relation to its name, many changes has happened even in Germany ,it was known as Ulmar ,Boar,Hound,German Mastiff or Tigered Mastiff. But the name Great Dane prevailed .
In Brazil it was called” Gigantic Dane “at first. then the name Great Dane prevailed as well .
